Aptera 300 mpg

What an excellent looking car and it can apparently do 300mpg, it apparently has room for two sets of Golf Clubs, so it will suit a host of customer needs and will hopefully have a significant benefit for the planet… got to be better than a bunch of giant 4X4s with only one or two passengers.

Electric Bikes
December 26, 2007
Being a fan of ‘Pushies’ as we call them in Australia and considering the problems with the cost of fuel and the daily grind of traffic jams and parking problems… I thought I’d do a series on electric ‘Pushies’.

Now I did notice the mentioning of Polymer batteries and I remembered a reference to batteries on an Australian ‘eLation eBikes‘; I’m waiting on YouTube footage and photos of this new Aussie bike to included in his site.
To date I have yet to make up my mind, but the iZip Express Electric Bicycle is definitely on my list, though there is a problem in Australia… the ‘brainieacks’ making the rules are at present restricting the power out put to miserable 200W, why? good question, if anybody can answer this or any other issues relation to which are the best batteries, please let us know.
Undoubtedly these and variations of electric bikes; both 2 or 3 or even 4 wheel, will soon become common place as indeed will a whole range of electric and hybrid cars.

Carbon-free stackable “City Car” and Scooter developed by MIT
November 3, 2007

MIT Media Labs are working on exciting designs for both an electric, stackable car and scooter that looks like something from a futuristic movie. The prototype for the scooter is on show this month ( November 2007 ) at the Milan Motor Show and the prototype for the car will be on show early in 2008.
The cars will be placed at strategic points in and around transportation hubs such as airports, train stations and bus depots. People can then rent the cars to travel the last few kilometers to their destinations and leave the vehicles at stackable stations.

Honda’s Hydrogen Fuel-cell car first to enter production, available 2008
October 27, 2007

The series name for the concept-FCX will be announced next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where attendees can also see the production-ready version.

The large interior space are probably in part due to the fuel cell powertrain which doesn’t have the same space and position limitations as a traditional internal combustion engine.
Both 25kW rear motors are housed in the car’s wheels. This frees the space between the wheels for the hydrogen storage tanks.
The car’s range is 560 kilometers on a 5 kg tank of hydrogen at 350 atmospheres.
