I commend the Americans on their efforts to use Tidal energy. In northern Australia, as you will see below, we have Tides that are almost 40′… you got to be careful in these areas where you tie your boat up to, or you could find it underwater or hanging from it’s mooring lines.

Anyway, you can see the high water mark on the rock walls in the video below… can you imagine the power you could generate with the energy in that water? Sure you mightn’t be able lay down power lines back to the cities, but you may be able to say use that power on site, to produce hydrogen or drive a factory that produce solar cells and turbine generators, you know it helps if the manufacturing costs are offset by free or even cheap power.

The reason why they don’t, is because as I often say, “When your snout’s in the trough, the rim’s your horizon.”

Ain’t hindsight wonderful. When you look at the enormous effort to discredit the Democrats over Bill Clinton’s lack of self control and predatory sexual behavior, using what’s seen by many as an appalling misuse of Kenneth Starr’s position on the ‘Office of the Independent Counsel’, with the help of Linda Tripp, another Republican lackey, who somehow gets involved with Monica Lewinsky, to immobilize the Clinton Presidency, you wonder, is this what Democracy is about?

But it still took (in my opinion and many others) a corrupt election, with the aid of George W Bush’s brother, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, as well as Florida’s Secretary of State Katherine Harris, FOX TV (Rupert Murdoch) and the Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas, to ensure that all the hard work of Karl Rove came to fruition.

All this was done so that Paul Wolfowitz and Co. could mount an attack on Iraq, who was falsely blamed both for 911 and having WMDs, just so they could get troops into Iraq, thereby controlling Iraq’s oil and giving them an added presence in the Middle East, with which it could control the various local area pipelines, and later mount further attacks on Iran and Afghanistan.

However, it was the BBC’s show Spooks that most eloquently put it all together for me. In the episode known as ‘Aftermath’, where Britain and America planned use climate change to their economic advantage, by the use of military force to capture major fuel sources such as coal and oil.

The plot went on to make the point, the various governments were going to only make a pretense of doing something about fighting global climate change, in actual fact they were going to let the world go to hell, and they were going to use their military might to ensure that they were in total control, and that a good percentage of the world’s population would perish… personally I always thought they would accomplish much the same by some sort of engineered Bird flu or what ever, it is after all, too many people that is at the root of all our problems.

So I guess in the next few years we’ll see if those who think like myself are right.

With the price of petrol on an ever increasing spiral upwards, food is being sucked along in it’s wake. With supermarkets and Industrial farming also on an ever increasing spiral upwards, nutrition and health is going in the opposite direction.

Lets face it political instability is on the increase like the weather and food shortages, so why waste time and money on lawns and pay for food that’s neither fresh nor healthy, yet is increasing in prices and being sprayed with who knows what… grow your own food, improve your health, and put the money you save into solar panels.

Robert Redford is another one of my heroes, a consummate actor, director, producer and supporter of up and coming actors, directors and producers of quality films. He’s also an ardent conservationist and critic of President Bush and vice president Cheney, the mental environmental vandals, who are now using the current Oil crises, to make a case for the drilling of National Parks… just so their sponsors can go on controlling the worlds energy.

Our problems now are caused by over 40 years of those ’sponsors’ not just inaction; which in it’s self was a crime more than an act of incompetence, but for the other things which they will eventually be seen for what they really were, crimes against humanity. Amongst those crimes are, the shelving of pattens, which undoubtedly would have gone a long way to minimizing our current problems… and then there’s the current crimes committed against the Iraqi people.

This morning whilst listening to our public national radio station, I heard a report of our current Labor government’s removal of some government grants.

Initially rather than go on with my usual diatribe about governmental and banking ignorance and or corruption, I’ll quote directly from our brilliant; despite the previous Howard’s government’s attempts to screw it, ABC Radio National.

Permo-Drive: Commercial Ready grants scrapped

“Now more on how the federal government has scrapped the Commercial Ready program, which provided funding, through dollar for dollar grants, to innovative and fast-growth businesses. Over the years, the scheme had provided more than $700 million in grants and its withdrawal has left 220 Australian businesses dangling, with applications worth from 250,000 dollars up to 5 million dollars pending.

Well, one of those businesses relying on a Commercial Ready grant was Permo-Drive, a company based in Ballina, New South Wales. They’ve developed a remarkable hybrid drive system for trucks and they have 20 demonstrators ready to roll along with huge interest from trucking companies here as well as overseas, including from the US Army. Now the company has written to its 1,900 shareholders to say that without the grant money, the company is no longer viable and will go into liquidation early next month.” ABC Radio National (AM)

Can you believe it? I mean Australia is blessed with a disproportionately large number of brilliant inventors, with an equally large number of famous inventions, yet we are ruled by I’m sure by a disproportionately large number of total morons with IQs lower than my pet rock it seems.

Water Fuel Cell panacea presentation

To me the obvious ideal fuel is Hydrogen, it’s clean, but above all there’s plenty of it in the universe. I remember once reading that “Hydrogen, given enough time would turn in to people”… or words to that effect, the point is, it was the starting point, it’s the fuel of the original star/s, and from which all other elements cometh.

The problem is, Hydrogen’s not really a commodity that lends it’s self to being controlled or capitalized by big business and until we stop political donations, the energy corporations etc. will not let the politicians force them, or us down that road, think about that next time you fill up your tank and look at the price of petrol.

In Australia they are saying petrol will be $2/liter (almost $8 a gallon) before the end of the year. You know it all seemed to happen so quickly after the Iraqi oil war, but in actual fact I remember a time back in the late 70’s when there was an oil scare and everybody started selling off their V8’s… funny thing though is, nobody it seemed, thought the oil would eventually jump drastically in price prior to it’s eventually running out.

Now you would expect that the powers that be, that own and run the oil (bankers and the like), would have seen it coming and made plans… but then they weren’t Robinson Crusoe. The CIA too, despite their budget somehow hadn’t noticed the USSR rupturing and were caught totally flat footed when ‘The Wall came down’. Some may find the aforementioned similarity a bit of a stretch I guess… perhaps I better explain, but first a little truism. ‘When your snout’s in the trough, the rim’s your horizon’.

In the case of the CIA, I guess they were busy lining their own pockets with drug money and the likes, bribing dictators, plotting and scheming, having such a good time doing all their wheeling and dealing, and they couldn’t see the forest for all those dam trees. Whilst in the case of the Oil companies they too were busy lining their own pockets, laundering the hundreds of billions of dollars of Drug money, bribing dictators, plotting and scheming, having such a good time doing all their wheeling and dealing, shelving patents etc. that they too missed the Elephant in the room.

See the problem is the people making the decisions, are all money focused, you know Bankers & Lawyers (spit on the ground), sooo few of them have any scientific back ground. Sure they have scientific staff, but the problem is that they either make up their own minds based on profit orientated thinking, or the scientists themselves are too busy telling their bosses what they know they want to hear.

I know this because I witnessed this sort of thinking first hand. Your paid to come up with solutions, after extensive studying and running tests you come up with a solution, you explain to the bosses their options… and then one of them asks you a question that’s sooo dumb, you start looking around for a camera or something, thinking your on ‘Candid Camera’. And whilst your brain’s trapped in some sort of loop trying to figure out, what the hell just happened, they neatly sidestep you, and later you find out that you just wasted a year or more and they probably used a Weegie board or something to come up with their answer.

Meanwhile ‘the powers that be’s’ other paid employees (the Politicians) are busy implementing the Bankers & Lawyers (spit on the ground) plans for world domination… I wonder if somewhere in this galaxy there isn’t some group of aliens running a ‘Big Brother’ type TV show, about this little microcosm we call Earth?

A great presentation of a brilliant and logical solution to our most pressing problems. Wireless mesh-networking technology and a sort of carpooling system, will reduce many of our problems dramatically and quickly… this idea is more likely to improve the standards of living, social integration, reduce pollution hence global warming and perhaps save the planet, than any other thing I’ve seen so far.

There are sooo many opportunities to this method of transportation, and probably far more unseen benefits. The down side, companies wont make as much profit… and therefore governments probably wont react, that’s the worry, the fact that more people will benefit but less companies will. So it’s up to the people, and the price of petrol will help people make the decision that will benefit them.

Our current Australian Labor government, who undoubtedly receives political donations from the coal companies, would sooner give $500,000,000 to coal companies to develop the laughable ‘clean coal’ technology, than to encourage this type of wireless mesh-networking carpooling system… the ‘clean coal’ option they are talking about will take years and years… and still may not work, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
