Dolphin slaughter in Japan
March 8, 2008
Video: YouTube
More from the ‘not so honorable’ companies in Japan who will make their money regardless of the effects it has on wildlife. Dolphins are intelligent wonderful creatures and they should not be treated this way.
The Japanese companies responsible need to be sent a message that the world will not accept this sort of behavior.
Monkey versus puppy

Isn’t it good to see animals having fun with other animals. One species and another just getting along, shame some of us humans seem to have a thing about wiping out some species.
Lion remembers rescuers
February 9, 2008
Here’s a story that will make you smile… a Lion raised by humans and then released back in to the wild, joins a Pride and a year later remembers with great affection the people who were so kind to it.

Fastest animals
February 1, 2008

Here is a slide show with the fastest animals on land, in the sea and in the air. My favourite of all the animals would have to be the Peregrine Falcan. These along with all animals need to be treated with respect and not slaughtered, we humans have a moral obligation to protect the animals of the world.

Dolphins Playing with Bubble Rings

Only a soulless individual would not be uplifted by the sight of Dolphins, but Dolphins displaying their playful intelligence in uniquely stunning ways such as seen in the above footage is a lesson for adults to play more, play more with their kids, with each other and with their dogs if one has one. I’m not talking about competitive playing but playing in the uninhibited way… just for the hell of it.

Meet the Dr. Mengele of Whales
January 19, 2008

Photo: James D. Watt
Commentary by Paul Watson
Founder and President of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
“Meet Luis Pastene, the Dr. Mengele of the Cetacean world. This Chilean-born biostitute for hire is employed by the Japanese Cetacean Research Institute (CRI) and his job is to mutilate whales to finger, probe and gawk at their blubber, livers, ear-plugs, ovaries and testes, bones, lungs, skin and even the fetuses from thousands of whales.
Dr. Pastene loves his job as a whale vivisector and feels victimized by people who are concerned for protecting whales. “I’m getting so tired of the biased articles I read in Western newspapers each year at this time,” says Dr Pastene. “It’s time someone told the truth,” he insists.”

World’s only blue eyed koala
January 15, 2008

Photo: Blue eyed koala at Adelaide now
Named Frankie, This koala from DreamWorld in Queensland Australia is the only Blue eyed Koala known to exist in the World.
Koala’s are a protected animal in Australia. They are endangered and have faced many problems over the years since white settlement in Australia.
The Koala was hunted almost to extinction in the early 1900’s and although they are not hunted today they still face problems such as habitat destruction, a disease called chlamydia, deliberately lit bush fires and domestic dogs as well.

Greenpeace find the Japanese whaling fleet.
Greenpeace are posting to this whale weblog everyday from aboard the Esperanza, providing details of their mission to chase the Japanese Whaling Fleet. It is hoped that this will disrupt the whaling. Their weblog also has some amazing photos of icebergs and a nice whale slide show, well worth a look. Click the link below if you would like to keep up to date every day with Greenpeace’s actions.

Greenpeace monitoring Japanese whaling fleet
January 13, 2008
Greenpeace has been shadowing the Japanese whaling fleet for weeks. When they tried to contact the Australian Government surveillance ship Oceanic Viking to inform them that the Japanese whaling fleet was in a restricted area the call was apparently refused.

It’s a sad day when ‘true believers’, champions of the ‘under dogs’ and what’s morally right fail to act. The question of whaling is simple for me, they are way more intelligent than a chicken or cattle, and even though they have been ‘harvested’ for hundreds of years, things change, hopefully we become more humane, more aware, how can honorable people possibly kill an intelligent defenseless creature like a whale and call it research? How can anybody stand by and let it happen?
