The Blue Planet - Deep Sea Pt.1

Video: YouTube

I’m a huge fan of David Attenborough and his BBC videos. Most of us have see this series before, possibly a number of times, but it never fails to fascinate me… all those weird, ugly sometimes beautiful creatures which seem so alien, in fact the idea for the monster in the movie Alien, came from one of these creatures.

Video: YouTube

Michael C. Ruppert author of ‘Crossing the Rubicon’ makes a good case for the mess we’re in, I know again it’s a longish bit of footage, but hey, there’s probably not anything worth watching on TV as usual anyway… trust me it’s worth watching.

Regenerative Drive System (RDS)

June 20, 2008

This morning whilst listening to our public national radio station, I heard a report of our current Labor government’s removal of some government grants.

Initially rather than go on with my usual diatribe about governmental and banking ignorance and or corruption, I’ll quote directly from our brilliant; despite the previous Howard’s government’s attempts to screw it, ABC Radio National.

Permo-Drive: Commercial Ready grants scrapped

“Now more on how the federal government has scrapped the Commercial Ready program, which provided funding, through dollar for dollar grants, to innovative and fast-growth businesses. Over the years, the scheme had provided more than $700 million in grants and its withdrawal has left 220 Australian businesses dangling, with applications worth from 250,000 dollars up to 5 million dollars pending.

Well, one of those businesses relying on a Commercial Ready grant was Permo-Drive, a company based in Ballina, New South Wales. They’ve developed a remarkable hybrid drive system for trucks and they have 20 demonstrators ready to roll along with huge interest from trucking companies here as well as overseas, including from the US Army. Now the company has written to its 1,900 shareholders to say that without the grant money, the company is no longer viable and will go into liquidation early next month.” ABC Radio National (AM)

Can you believe it? I mean Australia is blessed with a disproportionately large number of brilliant inventors, with an equally large number of famous inventions, yet we are ruled by I’m sure by a disproportionately large number of total morons with IQs lower than my pet rock it seems.

Before I go any further here is a cut ‘n paste section from Permo-Drive’s website technology page complete with images.

Creationist insanity

June 19, 2008

This sort of behavior is reprehensible and as a ’scientist’ I am offended, not about religion as such, since belief in a supreme universal intelligence should be a positive thing. However, anybody who has taken the trouble to look outside the various religious dogmas, read about the historical facts and actually think for themselves; a thing that kids of this age can’t do, can’t possibly seriously defend such things as man riding dinosaurs.

Even a most basic study of the history of the Church, shows the Churches to be not only immoral, but calculatingly so. Anybody with an ounce of intelligence that is taken in by this moronic dogma amazes me, if they preach this stuff their ability to teach this dribble to kids should be treated as a crime against humanity, on the grounds that it promotes ignorance and conflicts… this I believe is so, whether it be taught by Christians, Muslims, Zionists or even Scientologist.

From Nexus - Criminal History Papacy

Such periods of “deepest humiliation” to the papacy were quite recurrent, and have been even into the 21st century when the extent of priesthood pedophilia was publicly exposed (Apology of Pope John Paul II, March 2002). It was Pope Stephen VII (VI), “a gouty and gluttonous old priest” (Bishop Liutprand of Cremona, c. 922–972), who ordered the rotting corpse of Pope Formosus to be exhumed from its grave of eight months, tied upright in a chair and put on trial for transgressions of the canons. In front of his putrefying body and dressed in purple and gold regalia stood the pope, his bishops, the nobles of Rome and Lamberto of Tuscany.

The “trial” was a grotesque and obscene farce. The pope paced backwards and forwards and shrieked at the corpse, declaring it guilty. A deacon, standing beside the decomposing body of the ex-pope, answered on its behalf. In this macabre incident, today piously called the “Cadaver Synod”, the deceased pope was duly condemned, stripped of his vestments, three fingers cut from his right hand and his remains dumped into the River Tiber. “In this disgusting business, he - Pope Stephen VII (VI) - cannot be excused for what followed. In declaring the dead pope deposed he also annulled all his acts, including his ordinations. His grim and grisly role provoked a violent reaction in Rome, and in late July or early August Pope Stephen was imprisoned and later strangled.” (The Popes: A Concise Biographical History, ibid., p. 160)

Eritrea - Greening Eritrea (Part 1)

June 19, 2008

Video: YouTube

This is a good news story about Eritrea, one of the world’s newest nations, a land devastated by war and the stripping of it’s trees to feed camels and to provide firewood for cooking. Eritrea now has some hope thanks to a Japanese American call Sato.

It all started with the re-establishment of Mangroves… something we had, for years been wiping out to provide profits for developers, despite being warned by scientists that they were vital for fish nurseries and the ecology in general.

As with most reclamation projects, the solution is to look at the way Nature does things, then learn from this often simple solution and give it a hand. Initially they had to use small amounts of fertilizers to get the Mangroves started, but once they got going, the areas ecology picked up, soon there were more fish, crabs, prawns and more plant matter… it was off and running.

“This is a low-tech solution to hunger and poverty. In these times of food price rises and global warming, it is just what the world needs,” Manzanar project manager Ammanuel Yemane, of Eritrea’s Fisheries Ministry.

UN Survey on food shortage

June 19, 2008

The survey

Last month the UN conducted a worldwide survey with one question:

“Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?”

The survey was a huge failure.

In Eastern Europe they didn’t know what “honest” meant

In Western Europe they didn’t know what “shortage” meant

In Africa they didn’t know what “food” meant

In China they didn’t know what “opinion” meant

In the Middle East they didn’t know what “solution” meant

In South America they didn’t know what “please” meant

In the US they didn’t know what “rest of the world” meant.

Military wife tells the truth: Kay Griggs - Pt.2

June 18, 2008

Video: YouTube

Sooo much of what Kay says sounds not only plausible, but likely… it fits with so much that we know historically and it’s logical when viewed, through the ‘who’s making the money’ perspective.

OK about now the doubting Thomasis are carping on about conspiracy nuts. Well my answer to that is to first define conspiracy - A secret plan to achieve an evil or illegal end.

Now if you don’t think that the 3 Trillion odd dollars spent on the ‘War on Terror’ in Iraq; a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 911, is going to end up in the pockets of a handful of corporations run by an even smaller number of Banks and Finance organizations, and that the people running these organizations aren’t virtually untouchable and are run by fundamentally decent law abiding people, you must be on Prozac or something, really.

If you are paying attention, then you will have observed that the rich are getting much richer, the middle class; who could be wiped out by another ‘29 type crash, is shrinking and the lower class is ever expanding, and that the ultimate end point for this ’system’, must be that the planet will be controlled, literally, by a handful of people and that democracy will be even more irrelevant than it is now. Now do you really propose that that’s not by design, that conspiracy doesn’t describe that process?

It is probably stating the obvious to say that PaleBluDot is a “Nuclear Free” zone. I just thought I would post this label here though so everyone can be clear about our stance on this hideous form of energy generation.

If you would like to generate your own warning label, you can see the link below.
